Tom founded one element in 2006, his vision to develop the best environment for clients to achieve fitness results with a unique multi faceted approach.  Tom carefully selects the very best trainers, coaches and therapists to provide group training, personal training, sports massage, physiotherapy, nutrition and events.

Tom consults for companies including Grant Thornton and Petronas, advising and presenting on optimizing business performance through health and fitness.  Tom has also written RESET, a 12 day programme of nutrition, exercise and coaching to help kick start long term positive change.

Tom enjoys sport especially Ski Touring, Rugby, Tennis and Cricket.

Twickenham, Kew and Wandsworth West Side

Tom specializes in Rugby training techniques.  He has played Rugby at first class level with England honours at boy and colt level and enjoyed three years professionally at Gloucester.  More recently, Tom toured the world sevens tournaments and has both academic and practice of training as and with athletes. 

Tom has a degree in Sports and Exercise Science from Brunel University.  When he isn't training or playing Rugby, he spends much of his time in the French Alps enjoying both winter and summer sports.

Personable and enthusiastic, Tom has a good understanding of motivation and enjoys helping clients achieve their goals.

Paul has developed a knowledge and understanding of sports training at every level and continues to build on his experiences.  With a wealth of qualifications, he is our 'best read' trainer and has a thorough understanding of physiology, nutrition, injury prevention and rehabilitation.

An expert at designing specially tailored exercise programmes, he is determined that his clients will not only achieve their goals, but ensures they have some fun along the way.

Amongst his areas of expertise are fat loss programmes, muscle building, cardio vascular and flexibility improvements and he has an excellent working knowledge of all gym equipment.

nicola milburn

Training in the Park at Tooting and Putney

Nicola graduated from Loughborough University with a degree in sports science and chemistry before gaining a qualification in vascular ultrasound and then REP level 3 personal training qualifications.

Involved in sport all her life including cross-country running, basketball, hockey and tennis, Nicola is currently club captain at Spencer Tennis Club where she helps the team, as an outstanding player and coach.

Nicola enjoys motivating clients with her positive attitude. She consistently helps her clients achieve at all levels, whether they are new to fitness, want to increase their strength, speed, stamina and agility, or train for a specific sport.

Training in the Park at Tooting

Huw played for London Welsh RFU from the age of five. He went unbeaten and won the National Schools 7s at Rosslyn Park. Huw played fly half for Saracens.  He was also involved with the Welsh U-19s and played for Newport Gwent Dragons Regional U-20s and the Welsh Exiles U-19s.

Huw spent two years with the St Louis Rams in the NFL, where he worked with some of the best sports coaches in the World.  He has also played County tennis and is a keen footballer.

A qualified Rugby Coach, Huw heads up Training in the Park at Tooting where professional sports coaching experience and his friendly manner ensure a highly effective work out for everyone.

Training in the Park at Streatham, Battersea and Wandsworth West Side

Sam is a REPS 3 qualified Personal Trainer and an RFU Level 1 Rugby Coach. He works with professional racing drivers to help them lose weight and increase their strength, and runs training camps for them in the off season.

A keen runner (Berlin Marathon in 3:20), Sam is passionate about training clients looking to improve their running, for leisure or competition.  He is studying the Pose Method.

Sam enjoys Rugby, captained his University team and played for Berlin SC RFC. Sam also played tennis for Durham University and spent a ski season in Meribel.

Training in the Park at Parsons Green

Tom graduated from Loughborough University with a degree in Sports Technology where he specialised in a two year study on the effects of variable inspiratory muscle training in Olympic athletes.  With a love of all contact sports, he has represented both Sussex and Leicestershire at County Rugby.  In addition Tom completed the 2010 London Marathon.

Heading up Training in the Park at Parsons Green, Tom inspires clients with his drive and enthusiasm.  With a fantastic sense of humour and a relaxed informal style, Tom ensures that while his sessions are tough, they are always great fun, and encourages groups to work together as a team. 


dylan alexander

Dylan believes that seeing positive change in clients is the greatest.  His philosophy is to deliver creative and performance-based training for all and Dylan works with a range of clients with a variety of backgrounds and abilities. Having played sport professionally while working in a high-pressure role in the City, Dylan understands the demands of a hectic lifestyle. His intense  and dynamic workouts are customised to suit you.

Dylan has a BSc (Hons) from Loughborough University, an MSc from Oxford University and a Premier International Diploma Personal Training and Sports and Swedish massage. He has additional qualifications in Nutrition, Circuits, Sports specific conditioning, Advanced assessments, Special populations, Rugby coaching and First Aid.

Training in the Park at Putney

Mark is a true sporting all rounder.  He has a Sports Science degree from Brunel University and is also RFU and TAG Level 1 qualified and ASA Level 1 swimming qualified.

Mark has played semi-professional Rugby for nine years and continues to play for Staines RFC. In addition, he has achieved honours representing Leicestershire and Midlands for both Rugby and Athletics.  His 100m PB is an exceptional 10:92. He also achieved podium finishes in the National Swimming Championships.

Mark heads up Training in the Park in Putney when he is not playing Rugby.

Our resident Action Man, Paul was a Royal Marine Commando for eight years.  He ran the London Marathon 2008 and 2009 and climbed Mount Kilimanjaro in East Africa, for charity, in November 2008.

Paul is REPS 3 qualified with extra qualifications in kettle bell, core stability and medicine ball training.  Paul is also passionate about nutrition with advanced certificates in sports nutrition and weight management.

His experience in stamina and endurance training, thanks to his many years in the Marines, combined with his friendly manner and positive attitude ensure clients get the most out of every Training in the Park session he leads.

Training in the Park at Wimbledon Park

Sally is REPS level 3 qualified and has 4 years experience, the last year of which has been with one element where she is one of our head trainers and leading post-natal expert.

She competed in a variety of sports - from netball and tennis to gymnastics and sports acrobatics - but it wasn’t until she ran the London marathon in 2005  that she decided to make her passion into a career.

Sally heads up the Wimbledon Park Training in the Park sessions where her friendly approachable manner, positive attitude and attention for good exercise programming has made it a great success.

andy brodziak

Andy is a corrective exercise based trainer and has been involved in the fitness industry for seven years.

He thrives on working with clients who want to improve overall body well-being, whether it’s core conditioning/posture, sport specific or general fitness. His clients include a range of ages and abilities which has contributed to his experience.

Having represented both Great Britain and South Africa in Triathlon at the World Championships, he also does Triathlon coaching for beginners and intermediate levels.

Andy’s philosophy is that having fun is crucial - without enjoyment nothing else matters.

Laura has worked in a variety of positions in the NHS in Gloucester, Cheltenham, New Zealand and London.

Since graduating in 2001, Laura has undertaken additional post graduate training in many areas of nutrition and health, including sport and exercise nutrition. Laura has expertise in behavior change counseling and by using this approach is able to help and support people to develop the strategies and skills they need to achieve their goals long term. 

She is well placed to help you achieve your goals whether they are related to health, lifestyle or sports performance.

Training in the Park at Barnes

Baz is an exercise academic and elite athlete.  Baz was known for her infectious energy and determination in the GB womens' rowing team, winning medals at numerous World Cups and the 2007 World Championships.  Her academic background helped enormously with rowing due to her passion for the psychology of motivation, especially what drives and impedes individual and team achievements.

Baz heads up Training in the Park at Barnes where her academic and practical experience helps all people to achieve improved health, fitness and performance.

Laurie has been involved in competitive Rugby for 20 years as a player, team captain and coach.  Before injury curtailed his playing career, he captained his team to two individual successes in the Surrey League.

Laurie uses his wealth of experience on and off the Rugby pitch to particular advantage with the Rugby based exercises at the Training in the Park sessions he leads at Kew Green.  As a qualified gym instructor and Advanced Personal Trainer, Laurie is particularly interested in new training methods and helping clients with nutrition and weight management.

He decribes himself as an avid Rugby nut and supports Harlequins as well as being a life long supporter of Liverpool FC.

Training in the Park at Wimbledon Park

Marlo has played Rugby since the age of 16. In Canada she played Club and U-19s Provincial Rugby and continues to play here in the UK.  She now plays for Wimbledon RFC.

Marlo is REPS 3 qualified, and holds additional qualifications in Tag Rugby Coaching, Rugby Coaching and Mini/Midi Rugby Coaching.

A busy mum with two very active and busy sons, Marlo heads up one Mums and leads our Ladies only Training in the Park at Wimbledon Park.  She is also available for Personal Training, with a special interest in pre and post natal exercise.

Rich played Rugby is a keen Rugby player. He played for England U-19s, England Students and England Universities. He spent five years at London Welsh and four years at Rosslyn Park, where he was Team Captain for the 2006-2007 season.  Rich currently plays for Staines RFC. He has played over 150 National League matches and scored over 1,000 points.

While Rugby fitness would seem to be Rich's speciality, he enjoys training all clients, especially post natal ladies looking to get fit. Rich's background as a teacher gives him the knowledge and experience to ensure every session is different and clients stay motivated while enjoying the sessions.

Rich is REPS qualified, a qualified Rugby Coach, a London Wasps Academy Kicking Coach and SAQ qualified.

Training in the Park at Streatham Common

As a British Triathlon Federation Level 2 Triathlon Coach, Tom can usually be found rolling over miles on his bike or swimming in chilly lakes in preparation for the busy triathlon season including short and long (Ironman Distance) races. When he's not training, Tom often heads down to a beach on a windy day as he is also a British Kite Surf Association Coach.

Tom enjoyed Rugby for many years and played for his University team.  Following injury, he now enjoys the sport from the comfort of the sideline or bar with a cold pint in his hand.

Tom is passionate about motivating clients to achieve their fitness goals while creating a fun and friendly community at Training in the Park in Streatham.

Mariza is a Level 4 Sports Massage Practitioner and a member of the Sports Massage Association. Her treatments include various massage techniques practiced through soft tissue release, muscle energy technique, neuromuscular technique and connective tissue massage.

Treating a wide variety of conditions in people of all ages and backgrounds, whether office based sedentary workers or elite athletes, Mariza is personable and friendly. She ensures clients are relaxed and comfortable and achieves exceptional results.

A former keen runner competing in half marathons, Mariza now practices Bikram Yoga and enjoys walking and spinning in between studying to become a nutritional therapist.
